Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data The Training Stimulus collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it in plain English because that's how we do everything.

Who we are

The Training Stimulus is run by Ash Grossmann and is based in the United Kingdom. For anything related to your personal data, contact ash@thetrainingstimulus.com.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site (an assessment application, mentorship application, or the contact form) or book a call, we collect what you provide: typically your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to tell us about your training, goals, or the reason you're getting in touch.

Information about injuries or health. Some of our forms ask about current injuries or physical issues so we can assess whether and how we can help. This is health-related data, which has extra protection under UK GDPR. We only process it because you choose to give it to us for that purpose, we use it solely to provide the service you've asked about, and we never share or sell it.

Technical data. Our hosting provider collects standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure. If we use analytics, it is aggregate and privacy-focused; we do not run advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.

How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry or application
  • To deliver the service you've signed up for (assessments, mentorship, coaching)
  • To schedule and manage calls and appointments
  • To send you relevant emails about our services, which you can opt out of at any time using the unsubscribe link
  • To keep the website secure and understand how it's used

Our lawful bases

Under UK GDPR we rely on: consent (when you submit a form or opt in to emails), contract (when we're delivering a service you've purchased or applied for), and legitimate interests (running and securing the website, responding to enquiries). Where we process health-related information you've volunteered, we do so on the basis of your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who handles your data

We use a small number of trusted providers to run our business. They process data on our behalf and can't use it for their own purposes:

  • HighLevel (LeadConnector): powers our forms, email, and client management
  • Acuity Scheduling: powers call and appointment bookings
  • Vercel: hosts this website
  • Google Fonts: delivers the typefaces on this site, which involves your browser requesting files from Google

Pages on this site may embed content from YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, or Google Docs. If you interact with those embeds, the relevant platform may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

Some of these providers operate outside the UK and European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). Where that happens, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it: for the length of our working relationship, for as long as needed to answer your enquiry, or as required for legal and accounting obligations. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, just ask.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Restrict or object to how we process it
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it

To exercise any of these, email ash@thetrainingstimulus.com and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Our services are aimed at adult coaches, clinicians, and athletes. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged more prominently.
